A Novel Idea. haha punny... (updated)

Here're some ideas I was having. They've been floating around and I want to scrawl them down. Some of it's rubbish, but altogether, it might be interesting.

• You know the gangers from Doctor Who? Or the Cylons? If a person is killed, they can regenerate, download, into a new body. That's the Cylons. The gangers are similar, but they eventually become separate entities from their originals. They can morph forms. Kinda nasty.

• Stuff happening on crazy other planets. Like Pandora or whatever Alien and Prometheus took place on. Planets that are large, scary, and unearthly, to be totally cliché.

• We had a lesson in G&T today about love. Here's a snippet. If you had a really close friend named Aleksander and suddenly an evil magician came down and killed Aleksander and almost instantly replaced him with a perfect replica of Aleksander, right down to emotions and memories, would you love the new Alek or would you mourn the old one?
• According to Plato, the new Alek is the same as old Alek, and so nothing is lost. New Alek reflects the same beauty as old Alek, has the same skills, the same memories, the same feelings. nothing is lost or added.
• But we still mourn old Alek, do we not? Most people reject Plato's idea here. 
• So, the idea is replacing people without replacing people.

I don't know where else to go from here. I'll come up with it at some point. Have a lovely St. V's day. I'll tag all stuff related to this "Rayner." Don't worry about the meaning, just go with it, s'il vous plait.

Ok, new stuff

• Political scandals. Bill and Monica. Laura and Richard. In the office late at night...

Graphic Novel- update

I just drew some stuff out. It's going along the lines of "there was a storm warning or something, they've been underground for three days, they come back up and their world is actually a laboratory experiment."

General Plot:

• In a WoW-type setting
• Elves, Humans, zombies
• NEED zombies for Kristina/Luke song thing
• maybe no elves? elves were driven out long ago...
• Overlords-fallen elves
• Protector-new elf
• beasties
• overlords' beasties would be human foot soldiers led by cyborg leaders (hahaha! i wrote in cyborgs)
• Overlords who use 'beasts' to fight each other and win territory
• there should only be two overlords. neither is good.
• ultimate win is to have good "overlord" who is really just a defender/protector not overlord
• steampunk? -it might be hard to have steampunk and nature co-exist. maybe have a light steampunk wash to it, rather than entirely.
• ie: have steampunk clothing and some mechanism, but not enough to dilute the full power of teldrassil
• characters include

More detailed plot line...

So, some more ideas. I'm thinking I'll stick with the Fairy idea, and I want to get it planned out before November, because it'll be insane with all I have going on. I don't like the way this sounds, but I'd like NaNo to be as easy as I can make it. That's not saying much though.
To business:
The main plot runs like this. We have a primary character, Liz Swenson, who's some sort of actress. She's big name and not necessarily nice. She gets a call/letter from a Make-A-Wish number that says a girl named Laura Lewis wants to visit her. Laura Lewis comes and turns out to be a wiser-than-her-years little girl. She'll have something along the lines of being apparently allergic to most everything, spec. metal, urban environments, and processed food. Liz and Laura are in a car going somewhere, and then there's what appears to be a car crash. They wake up in a room that's a cross between Indian (continental) and hospital. A pale man awaits them. His name is Kaze Yama. I want him to be able to turn into a dog. Somehow they end up figuring out they've been transported to Fairy. Laura is the princess/changeling and Liz was accidentally brought to Fairy also. I think Liz will wander for a bit. I have a few things that need to come in at some point.

• Two zombies singing "I Love Brains" NOT GROSS ZOMBIES
• A WoW-based physical world.
• Several races- elves, dwarves, zombies, fairies all belonging to either Seelie or Unseelie. 
• There's some humans too; the city is their main one though, so they aren't a majority.
• Clothes are medieval- tunics, breeches, dresses/petticoats, and robes.
• The city will be similar to Dolanaar, ie, tree-houses and waterways. Greecian style. Their will be Thunder Bluffs based elevators/towers though.
• Liz's character needs to develop.

I need a real plot line though.  What happens? Ideas? Here's a few, tell me what you think.

• Liz turns out to be the Unseelie princess.
• Not a Seelie/Unseelie clash, I don't think... I'm hoping to save that for Holly Silver.
• People protest Laura's arrival, mystery behind that?

Nano '11

So, some more ideas. (What do you think?)
Start with two characters.One, let's say Liz Swenson, is some kind of actress. She gets a letter from a MakeAWish-ish thing saying that a girl, Laura Lewis, wants to meet her for the wish. Laura shows up and is this kinda sickly kid who seems to be allergic to pretty much everything. Something happens, I don't know what, the apocalypse or something, and they end up in Faerie. That would be a bit like a WoW uni and I want a couple of zombies in it. Not bad ones, but like KristinaandLukesingingILoveBrains zombies. And it turns out Laura is some kind of fairy princess and that's why she was sick. You know, iron and all that. Liz is totally lost, even though her movie chars are total sheroes. Something else needs to happen and Liz proves she's not a total moron. The End

Elven Cities Wowcraft?

So I'm thinking that the cities are going to (primarily) going to be located in forests, because them I can have elves, dwarves, and human in the same place. I see giant trees with elegant staircases curling up with huge city-platforms built dozens of feet in the air. There are fragile-looking bridges connecting the tree-cities. The humans live in the thick earth at the bottoms of the trees, with dusty roads and rather un-elegant looking buildings crowding around. The dwarves have built cramped, dark cities weaving through the roots of the trees, supported by sooty, grimy bricks.
